Greetings from West- Africa, Lagos, Nigeria. This topic has been on my mind and blogging list for quite a few days but work schedules wouldn’t let me write it out. That aside, focus goes a long way in your life, your present and determines your future more so. What you focus on has a tendency to predict your future.
When you determine to focus on something or someone, it takes all of your attention, takes all of your being, it rotates around your head continuously, it’s like a pin constantly being pierced in your heart, it’s like a treasure to you, it’s at the centre of your heart or should I say mind. Going into something or starting up something or doing something requires absolute focus from you, which mean putting all your heart towards doing it. Without focus, you’re distracted, without focus there’s no energy whatsoever. Without focus, you can’t tell when something is sliding towards the negative, without focus you can’t tell when something is not right or appropriate in whatever situation you find yourself.
Often than not, lack of focus makes you loose the lesson, lack of focus makes you loose the point of the journey or the reason why you even started. Whenever you don’t plant focus on what you are doing or embarking on, you have this tendency of giving up or retracing your steps or feeling unaccomplished.
Lack of focus brings a lot of negative results. Often times, we place our focus on the wrong things and give the right and important one less focus, thereby missing the lesson or the point. Where are you placing your focus? Are you placing your focus on the negatives? Are you placing your focus on your competition? Are you placing your focus on people better than you? Are you placing your focus on people doing better than you? Are you placing your focus on your critics or non- supporters?
Maybe it’s time to quit placing your focus on these things and start placing your focus on the goal, start placing your focus on where you’re going. Start placing your focus on the greater factor, and stop looking down. Stop focusing on the WHAT IFS and start being positive.
